Types and Application of paper chemicals

Paper chemicals refers to a variety of chemicals used in the paper making process, the general term of the auxiliaries. Including a wide range of content:

pulping chemicals (such as cooking aids, deinking agents,etc.)

Cooking aids: used to accelerate the speed and yield of chemical pulping cooking, commonly used generally have anthraquinone and quinone derivatives, surfactants and so on.

Deinking agent: It is used for deinking in the process of waste paper recycling and re-pulping, which can improve the whiteness of pulp and eliminate various impurities such as ink dots, etc. It mainly consists of surfactant, integrating agent, bleaching agent, detergent, and anti-reprecipitant.

paper chemicals (such as pulp sizing agents, surface sizing agent,etc.):

Pulp sizing agent: sizing agent added to the pulp, in order to play the role of sizing, generally rosin saponification gum, reinforced rosin gum, dispersed rosin gum (anionic dispersed rosin gum, cationic dispersed rosin gum), AKD and ASA and other reactive synthetic neutral sizing agent, petroleum resin sizing agent and so on.

Surface sizing agent: used for surface sizing of paper to improve the surface strength of paper, reduce powder, lint and other phenomena, mainly modified starch, such as oxidized starch, starch acetate, crosslinked starch; modified cellulose, such as carboxymethyl cellulose; synthetic polymers, such as polyvinyl alcohol, polyacrylates, styrene maleic anhydride copolymers, wax emulsions and so on; natural polymer, such as chitosan, gelatin and so on.

paper processing chemicals (such as antifoam agent, coating auxiliaries)

antifoam agent: used in pulping, papermaking, coating and other processes of defoaming, the main varieties of coal sleeve or emulsified kerosene, fatty acid esters, low carbon alcohols, silicones, amides and so on.

coating auxiliaries: lubricants, such as calcium stearate dispersion; preservatives, such as isothiazolinone, p-chloro-m-toluene; dispersing agents, such as sodium hexametaphosphate, sodium polyacrylate; viscosity modifiers, such as CMC, alkali soluble uplift of sodium polyacrylate and so on.

The purpose is to improve the quality of paper and production efficiency, improve operating conditions, reduce manufacturing costs, increase economic benefits and develop new paper types.
